Hello! My name is Kelli Jahn and I am so excited to be able to share my journey. In 2007 I gave birth to my second child. Soon after he was born I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. I was over weight, sad, and had major anxiety. The doctor put me on medication, which basically just numbed all of my emotion. I continued on and just felt lost. I couldn't laugh, I couldn't cry, and I didn't like who I saw when I looked in the mirror. I asked the doctor to take me off the medication, so we started the process of weaning me off slowly. The doctor suggested that I bring exercise into my life to help regulate the serotonin in my body. This is when I found yoga. I loved yoga immediately and started to go to classes several times a week. Unfortunately yoga just wasn't enough and I went back on my medication. I did this several times over the next couple years, but just really struggled to ground myself and connect my mind and body. Finally, March of 2013 I found CrossFit and BUTI yoga. I loved Buti Yoga so much that I earned by certification to teach in May of 2013. Soon after I started teaching I decided to study yoga more in depth and in December 2014 I earned my 200 hour RYT. I have also received certifications in Hot Yoga Sculpt and Strengthen, Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga (SUP), CrossFit Level 2 trainer, & have created my own rebounding-yoga fusion format.
